A friend of mine says that government should be &quot;the great equalizer,&quot; so although we don&#039;t have equal opportunities or resources as individuals, there should be nothing holding the less privileged back from getting access to those opportunities. That means free good schools and freedom from poverty, among other basic rights. Here&#039;s hoping.]]></description>
