I Saw Jesus Today

I took a couple of stabs at poetry on my blog, The Quotable Jesus, a few months ago. This was one of them.
I Saw Jesus Today
I saw Jesus today
at the park.
He was a woman tending a garden,
a bee pollinating a flower,
and two young girls running past their mother.
I heard Jesus today
at the park.
He was the friendly old men who were chatting,
the rustle of the leaves,
and the silence.
I felt Jesus today
at the park.
He was the breeze,
the heat in the sun,
and the coolness in the shade.
I felt Jesus today
at the park.
He was conversation
with total strangers.
He was the smile
of my son.
I think he saw Jesus, too.
