The Young Adult Catholics blog is dedicated to the progressive, faithful, Catholic voices of 20- and 30-year-olds. This is a safe space for stories of Gender Equality, LGBTQ inclusion, and other topics that serve to activate and inspire Catholics to build inclusive and creative communities. This is a blog of CTA 20/30, which has faith-sharing groups in urban areas around the country and a national conference every November. For more information, please visit www.cta-usa.org.
Please note, the opinions of the contributors to this blog do not necessarily reflect those of the editors nor of Call To Action or CTA 20/30.
The contributors to this blog come from a variety of backgrounds and live in various places on the globe. The goal is to lift up these voices that make up our Church in an intimate way.
In this light, we support Catholics in their pursuit of truth in the spirit of religious freedom. The bishops provide us with guidance from the Second Vatican Council: “Wherefore every [person] has the duty, and therefore the right, to seek the truth in matters religious in order that [they] may with prudence form for [themselves] right and true judgments of conscience, under use of all suitable means” (from Dignitatis Humanae, Pope Paul VI, December 7, 1965).
YoungAdultCatholics was launched on May 11, 2008, in honor of the Feast of Pentecost and lifting up the many voices of the church. Many talented and generous young adults have served as editor in its 6 year history. Currently, Sarah Holst is the blog’s editor; the CTA 20/30 Leadership Team provides additional editorial support.
